He was predeceased by: his parents, George Powell and Vina Powell (Loudy); and his sons, Dale Smith III and Quillan Hamblin. He is survived by: his wife Marcella Powell (Dulap); his children, Jamie Powell, Ponchrollo Dulap (Tammy Manard) and Frank Dulap; his grandchildren, Miley Dulap, Damien Dulap and James Combs, Jr.; and his siblings, Dewayne Powell, Joe Powell and Carolyn Boone.
