He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Wilhoit (Lawson); his sons, Kenneth Lawson and Charles Lawson; his grandson Darren Owens; and his siblings, Hobert Wilhoit, Raymond Wilhoit, Hattie Smithwick, Barbara Moses and Nola Goley.
He is survived by: his children, Gary Lawson (Angie), Gail Owens (Terry), Phyllis Lawson of Williamsburg and Henry Holt (Christina) of Maryville; his grandchildren, Jordan Holt, Joshua Holt, Wayne Lawson, Joseph Lawson, Chris Hale, Charles Lawson, Donnie Doan and Brittany Silcox; and his brothers, George Wilhoit of Williamsburg and Cecil Wilhoit of North Carolina.
