He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles L. Stephens and Mildred Siler Stephens Sheils; his stepfather Edward Sheils; his grandson Nathan L. Stephens; and his brother Dr. Charles L. Stephens, II.
He is survived by: his friends, Williamsburg and Carmel; his wife Elizabeth Kelly Stephens; his children, Henry Stephens (DeeAnn), Douglas Stephens and Ann Stephens Vawter (Brad); his brother Mark S. Stephens; and his grandchildren, Stewart Stephens, Lauren Stephens, Matt Stephens, Justin Stephens and Raelyn Vawter. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.
