She was predeceased by: her parents, Charlie Lawson and Flora Lawson (Siler); her husband Otis Carpenter; her sons, Ray Carpenter and Glenn Carpenter; her granddaughter Marlana Faulkner; her son-in-law David Faulkner; and her siblings, Mary Evalee Wilhoit, Walt Lawson and Tab Lawson.
She is survived by: her children, Willard Carpenter (Debbie) of Williamsburg, Joyce Faulkner of Williamsburg, Patsy Chu (Nelson) of Boston and Ricky Carpenter of Williamsburg, Kentucky; her grandchildren, Jamie Carpenter, Jason Carpenter, Beronica Braden, Samantha Arnold, William Faulkner, Clayton Faulkner, Christopher Chu and Tiffany Chu; and her brothers, J. C. Lawson of Jellico and Roy Lawson of Williamsburg, Kentucky. She is also survived by several great grandchildren.
