She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Steely and Emily Steely (Rains). She is survived by: her children, Pauline Moses of Williamsburg, Wilma Doris Lamb of Williamsburg, Ronnie Edward Johnson of Williamsburg and Roger Lynn Johnson of Williamsburg; and her siblings, Arnold Steely of Williamsburg, Newt Steely of Live Oak, Florida, Louise Bowlin of Lafollette, Wilma Pence of Williamsburg, Faye Stevenson of Georgia, Mae Tijerina of Williamsburg and Rillie Cupp of Williamsburg. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren.
