She was predeceased by: her parents, Drew Carr and Della Carr (Lawson); her husband John Everett Powers; her children, Billy Harold Powers, Bobby Joe Powers and Norma Roberts; her siblings, Arvil Clayton Carr, Dephie Huddleston, George R. Carr, J. W. Carr, Ivalean Parker, Glen Carr, Roy Lee Carr and Marjorie Dean Carr; and her sons-in-law, Lowell Roberts and Roger Maxey.
She is survived by: her daughter Helen J. Maxey of Williamsburg, Kentucky; her grandchildren, Mike Maxey (Allison) of Williamsburg, Tonya Maxey of Norwood and Briana Roberts of Norwood, Ohio; her great grandchildren, Erin Maxey, Cody Maxey and Nate Maxey; her great great grandchild Aubrey Purdie; and her sister Betty Elam (Allen) of Milford, Ohio.
