Effie Longworth Davis Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Effie Longworth Davis of Williamsburg, Kentucky, who passed away on October 27, 2024 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Wesley Lloyd and Daisy Francis McKeehan (Rapier); her former husband Arley Longworth Sr.; her siblings, Arthur and Emerson McKeehan; and her grandson-in-law Steven L. Mayer.
She is survived by: her husband Samuel Davis of Williamsburg, Kentucky; her son Arley Longworth Jr. (Robin) of Corbin, Kentucky; her granddaughters, Michelle Burton (Greg) of Verona and Christine Mayer of Corbin, Kentucky; her great grandchildren, Steven Mayer (Megan), Scott Mayer (Mary), Shelby Burton, Michael Burton (Grace), Savannah Mayer and Samuel Mayer; and her great great grandchildren, Eden Mayer, Maggie Mayer and Emmett Scott Mayer.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 30th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Croley Funeral Home (103 S 2nd St, Williamsburg, KY 40769). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, October 30th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, October 30th 2024 from 4:30 PM to 5:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, Effie asked to have donations made to the building fund at Main Street Baptist Church, 908 Main Street, Williamsburg, Ky 40769.
