He was predeceased by: his mother Jessie Smith; his grandparents, Mitchell, Alma Smith, David "Cotton" Cox and Margaret Cox (Paul); and his niece Marie Smith.
He is survived by: his son Eli Smith; his father James Smith; his siblings, Kim Goins (Brent), Jimmy Smith (Jennifer) and Billy Smith (Helen); and his nieces and nephews, David Smith, Taylor Ashurst, Branden Grubb, Joshua Grubb, Erika Dixon, Katie Peace, Billy Smith, Jr., Helen Smith, Carol Smith and Neal Smith.
