She was predeceased by: her parents, Grant Horne and Myrtle Horne (Gearheart); her husband James Young; her son Kenneth Grant Kahles; and her sisters, Rosemary Brown, Georgia Brown, Bonnie Jo Matheny and Maxine "Bootsie" Horne.
She is survived by: her sons, Ricky Young (Natalie) and Rodney Young of Williamsburg; her adoptive son Mark Vanover (Dianna Johnson) of London; her stepdaughter Eileen Robertson (Doc) of Winchester; her siblings, Linda Adcox, Connie Prator of Hueysville, Robert, Ronnie "Jap" and Mack Horne of Hueysville; and her cousin Saundra Dudleston Kilburn. She is also survived by many step grandchildren and great grandchildren.
