He was predeceased by: his father Edward Lee Brooks; his wife Shirley Wilson Brooks; and his siblings, Don Brooks, Sue McCloud and Judy Brooks.
He is survived by: his sons, Dennis Brooks (Shirley) and David Brooks (Teresa); his grandsons, Dallas Brooks (Jessica Bowling) and Kevin Brooks (Ashley); and his great grandchild Scarlett Brooks. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and a host of relatives and friends.
