He was predeceased by: his daughter Lisa Woodall; his parents, Jess Tharpe and Edith Tharpe; and his brother Bill Tharpe. He is survived by: his wife Louise Ball Tharpe; his son Robert Tharpe (Deanna); his grandsons, Jacob Pelley (Lauren), Justin Tharpe (Nicki), Adam Pelley (Jessica), Daniel Tharpe, Michael Pelley (Anna), Kyle Woodall and Brandon Woodall; his great grandchildren, Emmy, Amelia, Foster, Colston, John, Jack, Elouise, Courtland and Deacon; his son-in-law Sean Woodall; and his sister Marlene Byrd.
