He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Bennett and Edna Bennett; and his siblings, Lee Bennett, Thomas Bennett, Ray Bennett, Bobby Gene Bennett and Lois Baker.

He is survived by: his children, Shawn Bennett (Alesha Stout) and Chasity Bennett of Williamsburg; his grandchildren, Erica Felts and Everlee Bennett; his brother Russell Bennett (Wanda) of Williamsburg; and his former wife Melinda Bennett of Williamsburg.
