He was predeceased by: his parents, David Owens and Dorothy Owens (Phillips); his wife Pansy Owens (Frederick); and his siblings, Kenneth Owens, John Owens, Paul Owens and Geneva Rains.
He is survived by: his children, David Owens (Lisa) of Corbin, Kentucky and Karen Lawson (David) of Williamsburg, Kentucky; his grandchildren, Jessica Owens, Kayleigh Brock (Aaron), David Lawson (Lacey), William Prewitt and Michael Prewitt; his great grandchild Kayson Brock; his close friend Betty Prewitt of Williamsburg, Kentucky; and also, David Prewitt (Robin) of Georgetown, Linda Rains Taylor of Williamsburg, Michael Richardson Mark (Jennie Mae), Trina Partin (Dwight) of Williamsburg, Dustin Richardson (Venessa) of Williamsburg, Justin Richardson (Tosha) of Williamsburg, Paula Kay Jordan (Larry) of Perrysburg and Sandy Edwards (William) of Highland, Michigan.
