She was predeceased by: her father William Goatley; her husband Edward Dowdy; her stepchildren, Naomi Walker, Leon and Paul Dowdy; and her siblings, Evelyn Akey and Paul Goatley.
She is survived by: her daughter Cathy Trainer (Jerry) of Wickliffe; her sister Pauline Gore of Mayfield; and her stepsons, Galen Dowdy (Ruthie) of Wickliffe and David Dowdy (Carol) of Wickliffe. She is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
