As Willis departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Willis may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Willis leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James King and Edna King (Strunk); and his siblings, Ronald King and Shonda Martin. He is survived by: his wife Norma King; and his siblings, Ralph King (Ruth) of Arkansas, Lindell King (Debbie) of Pine Knot, Dale King (Carmen) of Virginia, Sue Cornett (Bristo) of Pine Knot and Sheila King of Muncie, IN.. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 6th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home (156 Main St, Whitley City, KY 42653). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 at the Pine Knot Cemetery.
