It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Renee Smith (Whitesburg, Kentucky), who passed away on February 8, 2025, at the age of 56, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, James "Jake" Halcomb and Wilma Jean Whitaker Halcomb; and her son James Curtis Smith. She is survived by: her husband Christopher Smith; her children, Bart Smith of Carcassonne, Chris Smith of Carcassonne and Rachel Lynn Smith of Carcassonne; her sister Jamie Collier of Hallie; and her grandchildren, Nevaeh Phillips, Raymond Charles Rucker-Smith, Danni Renee Rucker-Smith and Isabella Faith Sexton.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM at the Little Bull Creek Church. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
