She was predeceased by: her parents, Navire Ison and Grace Cornett; her husband Bobby Ray Whitaker; her children, Denisa Whitaker and Gregory Whitaker; and her siblings, Terry Brown and Sharon Anderson.
She is survived by: her son Jeffrey Whitaker of Dry Fork; and her siblings, Gary Brown of Whitesburg, Randy Frazier of Whitesburg, Tony Brown of Connersville, Indiana, Barbara Lawson of Dryden, Rita Worden of Huntingburg and Lois Lykins of Brookeville. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM at the Letcher Funeral Home (102 Main St, Whitesburg, KY 41858). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, March 2nd 2025 at 12:00 PM and on Friday, May 2nd 2025 at 12:00 PM.
