With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Gloria Mae Lucas of Whitesburg, Kentucky, born in Anco, Kentucky, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 1, 2024 at the age of 74. She was predeceased by: her parents, Abel Ritchie and Elizabeth Combs Ritchie of Hazard, KY.; her husband William Lucas of Whitesburg, KY; and her siblings, Aubrey Ritchie and Melissa Guillory.
She is survived by: her daughters, Sheveve Ann Caudill (Scott), Christie Gail Decker (Marc) and Billie Mae Lucas (Mike); her grandchildren, Nathan Caudill, Elizabeth Caudill, Austin Lucas, Megan Gunter, Holly Gunter and Lucas Decker; and her siblings, Delaney Wooton and James Ritchie. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Berryhill Funeral Home & Crematory (2305 Memorial Pkwy NW, Huntsville, AL 35810). A graveside service was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 at 2:30 PM at the Charity Cemetery.
