He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry and Celestia (Gibson); and his sons, David Cook and Wendell Cook. He is survived by: his wife Rose Cook (Keel) of Kingscreek, Kentucky.; his children, Doug Cook (Eugenia) of Cowan, Kentucky. and Tammy Willimas (Roy) of Millstone, Kentucky.; his brother Jesse Cook of McRoberts, Kentucky.; his grandchildren, Jonathan Cook, Andy, Diane, Kegan, Joe, Jarrod, Bethany, Kayla, Jordan, Ray, Trish, Brandon, Nicholas, Alex, Brooke and Emily; his great grandchildren, Tristan and Camden; and his siblings, Gene Cook, Bud Cook, Ralph Cook, Roy Cook, Iva Thomas, Francies Laverne Smith and Faye Kincer.

Visitation was held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Sunday, January 26th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Monday, January 27th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Everidge Funeral Home (65 Main St, Whitesburg, KY 41858).
