He was predeceased by: his parents, John Maggard and Ellen Sexton Maggard; his daughter Sheryll Henson (Jeff); and his siblings, Clarence Dempsey Maggard, Delmas Maggard, Ethel Irene Meconie (Henry), Willia Dean Halcomb (Charles), Lois Jean Stevens (David), Coleen Frazier (Doug) and Roberta Maggard.
He is survived by: his sons, William Denver Maggard (Beverly) and Robert Maggard; his sisters, Yvonne Hensley (Paul), Cleta J. Gibson (Winston) and Shirley L. Combs (Mike); and his grandchildren, Cheri L. Kramer (Eric), Pam F. Green (Will), Tammy Horton and DeNell Deyer (Kelly).
