D.) of Emmalena; his siblings, Charles Whitaker of Indiana, Bob Whitaker of Somerset, Joyce Burton of Indiana, Linda Whitaker of Somerset and Betty Combs of Dry Fork; his grandchildren, Emily Whitaker of Kings Mountain, Katie Braswell-Miller (McKenzie) of Viper, Seth Whitaker of Kings Mountain, Logan Stacy of Emmalena and Hayden Stacy of Emmalena; and his great-nephew Austin Eversole.

In lieu of flowers donations are suggested to the Greg and Noreen Wells Hospice Center in Hazard, Kentucky.

“When I was about 12 or 13 going to Colson school, I had a problem learning. It would be later in years, I would find out I have Asperger's. Bill was my math teacher at Colson school. He would write the math problems on the chalkboard, and we would have to write them down on our paper, along with the answers. Bill took the black paddle and paddle me because I couldn't do this math. Hurt me BAD! I had to go to the DR after!”
