She is survived by: her husband Lewis Beckham "Beck" Bates; her siblings, Linda Begley, Geraldine Hatton of Colson, KY, Michael "Moe" Quillen and Bruce Quillen of Arlington Heights, Illinois.; her children, Sheila "Sally" Bates of Whitesburg, KY, Pamela Sue Mays of Prestonsburg, John Charles Bates (Amy) of Appalachia, Virginia and David Alan Bates (Aroma) of Lexington, KY.; her grandchildren, Jerry Austin Sumner, Autumn Marissa Nicole Sumner, Jacob Nathaniel Blake Sumner, Matthew Sean Bradley Hall, Katlynn Danielle Jones, Michael David Bates, Keiran Mays (Lee), Cyrah Mays (LaShae), Ceven Geisel Duncan and Mahala Nichole Sanders; her godparents, Bruce and Rebecca Oliver; and her stepson Lewis Beckham. She is also survived by 10 great grandchildren, her family and friends.
