He was predeceased by: his parents, Dennis Wells and Anna McCarthy Wells; and his brothers, Edward Wells and Dennis Theodore Wells, Jr.. He is survived by: his children, Andrea Engelmeyer (Ken) of Newburgh, IN, Stephanie Vandygriff (Roger) of White Plains and Jason Messamore (Kris) of Hanson, KY; his siblings, Margaret Daby of New York, Ann Marie Suprenant of New York, Thomas Wells of New York and Joseph Wells of Ohio; his grandchildren, Austin Madden, McKynzie Messamore, Logan Hughes, Samantha Williams, Taylor Vandygriff, Riley Vandygriff and Adalyn Vandygriff; and his great grandchild Rita Maxwell.
