He is survived by: his wife Marie Gaines (Slinker); his son Michael Gaines of White Plains; his siblings, Edward "Bill" Gaines of White Plains and Linda Keller of Princeton; and his nephew Dewayne Estes. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
