He was predeceased by: his parents, George Sr. Compton and Stella Compton (Adams); his wife Patty Compton; and his brother Larry Compton. He is survived by: his daughters, Candy Compton (Justin Cook) of Wheelwright, KY. and Shawn Campbell (William) of Hazard, KY.; his stepdaughter Regina Bellamy (Jeremy) of Lexington, KY.; his son Roger Ray Compton (Nikki) of Kingsport, TN.; his stepson Chad Perry (Kayla) of Elkhorn City, KY.; his brother George Jr. (Mutt); his sister-in-law Freda Compton of Bowling Green, KY.; and his close friend Debbie Lynn Judd. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren and one great grandchild.
