It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Larry Ray of Wheelwright, Kentucky, born in Pikeville, Kentucky, who passed away on October 22, 2021, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Victor Ray and Mary Alice Reynolds Ray; his children, Larry Douglas Ray Jr., William Buster Ray and Mary Louise Ray; and his siblings, William Darrell Ray, Roy Dean Ray, Brenda Faye Newsome, Patricia Ann Ray, Sherry Gail Ray and Gloria Jean Ray.
He is survived by: his children, Johnny Walker Ray (Shawntel) of Keavey, KY, James Scotty Ray (Shelly) of Wheelwright, KY and Samantha Marie Johnson (Billy) of Hi Hat, KY; his siblings, Keith Allen Ray of Hi Hat, Eddie Dean Ray of Hi Hat, Wilma Jean Mullins of Hi Hat, Bertha Ruth Tackett of Hi Hat and Jewelene Tackett of Grethel, KY; and his grandchildren, Douglas Codel Moore, Joseph Norman Moore, Kyle Walker Ray, Cody Wayne Ray, Meshawna Linn Little, Tyler Scott Johnson, Morgan Louise Johnson, William Ralph Johnson and Brian Keith Johnson. He is also survived by eight great grandchildren.
