He was predeceased by: his brother Billy Joe Bell of West Paducah; his parents, Clarence Bell and Birdie Mitchell Bell; his daughter Arlene Delaine Bell; his brothers, Wilbert Bell, Ellis Bell and Paul Bell, Sr.; his nephews, Carlos Bell and Carlton Bell; and his sisters-in-law, Pearl Bell, Lessie Bell and Lois Bell.
He is survived by: his children, James Bell II (Katina Shannon) of West Paducah, KY and Sharla Bell Harris of Ellenwood, GA; and his grandchildren, Christopher Diante Bell of Ellenwood, GA, Ja'ven Bell of West Paducah, KY, Ja'Quincy Bell of West Paducah, KY and Sharica Shante Blythe of Ellenwood, GA. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and a wide circle of friends.
