He was predeceased by: his parents, James Ray and Ina Susan Haney Goodpaster (Susie); and his siblings, Allan Goodpaster, Ray Goodpaster Jr., Dolph Goodpaster and Nellie Cain.
He is survived by: his daughter Joyce Jones (Glenn); his grandchildren, Dr. Colby Jones (Megan) of Charlottesville, VA and Ashton Jones of West Liberty; his great grandchild Cameron Thomas Jones; his sister Pat Puckett (Rodney); and his pet Charlie. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
