He was predeceased by: his father Noah Elam; his sisters, Phyllis Elam Perkins and Betty Lou Elam; and his grandmother Elam Shay. He is survived by: his wife Betty Ann May; his daughter LeAnn Elam Spradling (Michael) of Woodsbend; his granddaughter Annie Burns Spradling Clark (Casey) of Ashland, Kentucky.; his sister Linda Elam Blackburn (William); his nephew Greg Elam (Kathryn) of Lexington; and his sister-in-law Eleanor May Ferguson of Grassy Creek. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
It was his request in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to Woodsbend Community Church, 4605 Highway 705, West Liberty, KY 41472.
