With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Maxine Adkins of West Liberty, Kentucky, who passed away on May 1, 2024 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Maxine may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Maxine touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Tom and Gusta Sweeney Keeton; her husband Donald Adkins; and her son-in-law Frankie Dean Gilliam. She is survived by: her children, Anthony Curtis Adkins (Barbara Sue) of Forest Hills, KY and Janice Adkins Gilliam of Crockett, KY; her granddaughters, Samantha Codi Adkins and Amanda Donn Gilliam; and her great grandchildren, Rylan Dean Elliott and Reid Clay Elliott.
