With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Iris Merriett of West Liberty, Kentucky, born in Crockett, Kentucky, who passed away on March 26, 2023 at the age of 72. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lonnie Winfred Keaton and Addie Ison Keaton; and her stepsons, Danny Merriett and Timmy Merriett. She is survived by: her husband Thomas Merriett of West Liberty, Kentucky; her son Brian Smith (Shelda) of Richmond, Kentucky; her stepsons, Toby Merriett of Austin, Johnny Merriett of Louisville and Tommy Merriett of San Antonio, Texas; her daughter Patricia Fultz (James) of Rockford, Illinois; her stepdaughters, Lacey Green of Campbellsville, Michelle Hawkins (Andy) of Shepherdsville and Janelle Underwood of Taylorsville, Kentucky; her grandchildren, James M. Fultz, Brandon Fultz, David Redwine, Jared Ison and Martina Larue Reyes; her great grandchild Autumn Larue Reyes; her siblings, Ottis Keaton (Joyce) of Elkfork, Kentucky, William Curtis "Bill" Keaton of Elkfork, Kentucky, Lynn Booth of Franklin, Barbara Barker of Franklin, Brenda Smith (Darrell) of Elkfork, Kathy Coffey (John) of Elkfork and Tamila "Tammy" Eads of Thomasville; and her friend Drexel Engle. She is also survived by numerous step-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
