She was predeceased by: her parents, Bill R. Smith and Louella Sparks Smith Ferguson; her stepfather Thurman Ferguson; her husband James Conley; her grandsons, Donnie Lowell Conley and Jeff Elam; her great grandchild Jeffery Connor Easterling; her children-in-law, Carolyn Conley and Bob Johnson; and her siblings, James Ferguson, Jessie Smith, Thelma Smith Hutchinson, Monnie Messler and Dorothy Keeton.

She is survived by: her children, Mary Lou Johnson, William C. "Billy" (Glyndia Conley), Debbie (Jimmy Darrell Easterling), Jimmy (Vonda Conley), Tommy (Robin Conley), Linda (Rudy Gilliam), Danny (Sonia Conley), Clarinda Jean (George Robbins), John Andy (Kathy Conley), Kenneth David Conley, Joe (Terry Conley), Tim (Tammy Conley) and Dove "Beth" (Gary May); and her siblings, Vernie Patrick of West Liberty, KY, Loula Mae Hankins of Campton, KY, Tressie Gamble of Morehead, KY, Ollie Ferguson of Morehead, KY and Jackie Smith of West Liberty, KY. She is also survived by 68 grandchildren; 86 great grandchildren; 20 great-great grandchildren.
