He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Jonathan Gilliam and Druscilla Ferguson Gilliam; his son Michael Earl Gilliam; and his siblings, Ernie Gene Gilliam, Brenda and Minnie Gilliam.
He is survived by: his children, Denise Carol Prichard of Columbus Ohio and Carl Harold Gilliam (Candy) of Christiansburg, Ohio.; and his siblings, Lahoma Joyce Kaufhold of West Liberty, KY, Mattie Marlene Moore (Gary) of Springfield, Avery Arthur Gilliam (Marilyn) of Adelphia, Druscilla Delores Gilliam of Springfield, Penny J. Urton (Rob) of Columbus, Ella Marie Thompson of Piqua, Jerry Lee Gilliam of Springfield, Sherry Ann Roberts (Brent) of Springfield and Elbert Lee Gilliam (Tammy) of St. Paris, Ohio.. He is also survived by Eleven grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
