He was predeceased by: his parents, Raney Harkless Smith and Rena Holbrook Smith; his wife Gay Ferguson Smith; his siblings, Powell Whipple Smith and Eula Marie Smith; his brother-in-law Bill Smith; his siblings, Kenneth Ray Smith and Sue Wright; his brother-in-law Hubert Wright; and his grandchildren, Allison Nicole Bradley, Andrea Elizabeth Bradley and Baby Smith.
He is survived by: his children, Chris Irvin Smith (Rita) of Sandy Hook, KY, Michael Haden Smith (Anna) of Hazel Green, KY, Reanna Bradley (David) of West Liberty, KY and Harkless Ray Smith (Jennifer); his grandchildren, Heather Lynn Smith, Timothy Haden Smith, Zoe Alexandrea Bradley, Kenzily NaRay Smith and Aubriella Thalil Smith; his uncle Junior; and his aunt Lois Smith of Smith Creek. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
