With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Roy F. Mays of Wellington, Kentucky, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 29, 2024 at the age of 68. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Roy may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, J. D. Mays (Chloe Mays) and Bette Halsey Mays of Ezel, KY.; his children, Callie (Robert Hensley) and Michael Mays of Wellington, KY.; his grandchildren, Areva Hensley, Luke Hensley and Leevi Hensley; and his siblings, Kathy Williams and Johnny Guy Mays.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM at the Herald & Stewart & Halsey Funeral Home (367 Main St, West Liberty, KY 41472). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
