It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gene Stanley of Wellington, Kentucky, born in Weeksbury, Kentucky, who passed away on April 17, 2022, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father William Heanon Stanley; his wife Barbara Sue Compton Stanley; his grandson Michael Thomas Sykes; and his siblings, Billy Stanley, Jackie Clayton Stanley, Naomi Senters, Christine Austin and Ruth May.
He is survived by: his children, Timothy Arnett Stanley of Jackson, KY and Alison Lynn Cloyd of Paris, KY; his grandchildren, Jonathan Stanley, Joseph Reed Sykes, Kevin Joshua Cloyd, Jodi Evette Brewer, Stephanie Lynn Davis and Brittany Paige Nichols; his great grandchildren, Natalie Marie Wade, Kayden Lynn Paige Davis, Isabella Evette Brewer, Landon Ty Brinegar Stanley, Tristin Gene Cloyd, Charleigh May Nichols, Hadleigh Harper Marie Davis, Austin Payne Nichols and Madelyn Michael Sue Davis; and his siblings, Kenith Ray Stanley of Wellington, KY, Lorraine Thomas of Kettlecamp, KY and Sharon Kay Kelly of Florence, KY..
