He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Amburgey and Olivia Halsey Amburgey; and his siblings, Grant Amburgey, Grace Brown, Lela Adams and Elza Bryant.
He is survived by: his wife Claris Stamper Amburgey of Wellington, Kentucky; his daughter Tenia Debord of Winchester; his grandson Aaron Lee Debord (Shelby); his great grandchild Jansen Branham; and his niece Janie Botts of Denniston. He is also survived by other nieces and nephews.
