He was predeceased by: his parents, Delbert Earl and Mary Evelyn Bennett Hockman; and his brothers, Wilfred, Kenneth Wayne of Cecil, C. W. and Delbert Hockman, Jr..
He is survived by: his sons, William Hockman and Boyd Hockman (Kimberly); his sister Glody Kenley; and his sister-in-law Denise Hockman. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren.
