It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ova Marie Sims Padgett of Waynesburg, Kentucky, born in Stanford, Kentucky, who passed away on July 27, 2021, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Thelmar Sims and Eula K. Shea Sims; her spouse Hurshel "Dee" Padgett; her children, Hurshel Padgett, Jr., Wilma Rice and Peggy Rogers; her grandchildren, Tina Marie Padgett, Joey Padgett, Joshua Scott Webb and Bradley Counts; her great grandchild Noah Stull; and her brothers, Delmer and Gilmer Sims.
She is survived by: her children, Joey Padgett (Gidget) of Waynesburg, Rodney Wayne Padgett (Arlene) of Waynesburg, Darlene Padgett, Connie Padgett, Kathy Padgett and Marilyn Padgett; and her sisters, Opal Hatter of Casey County, Ocea Hatter of Casey County and Ona Jones (Junior) of Waynesburg. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and other extended family members and friends.
