It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jerry D. Genton of Waynesburg, Kentucky, born in Stanford, Kentucky, who passed away on October 4, 2024, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Jerry may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Mike Genton and June Hoskins Genton; and his half-brother Maurice Genton. He is survived by: his wife Rita Asher Genton of Waynesburg; his son Michael D. Genton (Katherine Maria Genton); and his siblings, Sharon (Curtis Simpson) of Waynesburg and Arthur Genton of Avon Park.
