He was predeceased by: his father Chester Cornett; his son Herman Stanley Cornett, Jr.; his siblings, Wendell Cornett, Earnest Cornett, Charity Cornett, Ann Cornett, Francis Godbey and Betty Foister; and his close friend Nancy Hoover.
He is survived by: his children, Wesley Madison Cornett (Carlee) of Waynesburg and Jana Noakes of Stanford, Kentucky; his grandchildren, Madison Cornett, Greyson Wray Cornett, Sophia Cornett, Marricca Bentley, Kimberly Cornett and Chase Noakes; his great grandchildren, Ava King, Chevy King and Hadley Noakes; and his siblings, Chester Cornett (Barbara) of Stanford and Leanor Bowman of Waynesburg.
