He was predeceased by: his wife Jeanette Hampton (Eldridge); his parent Jasper; his stepfather Lloyd Day; his siblings, Glendon Hampton, Donald Hampton, Gladys Thompson, Vaultie Hampton, Estill Day and Mary Ann Yantz; his cousin Darrell Hampton; and his grandsons, Michael Stevens and Zachary Hampton.
He is survived by: his children, Kathie Stevens of Corbin, Jana Baugh (Doug) of Eubank and Dwayne Hampton (Melissa) of Waynesburg; his sister Orene Correll (Paul); his grandchildren, Kelly Gregory (Earl), Amy McGinnis (Scott), Daniel Stevens (Brandi), Samantha Hampton and Kyle Hampton; his great grandchildren, Summar Ferguson (Ricky), Trevor McGinnis, Ashton Gregory, Emmarie Antle and Grayson Antle; and his great great grandchild Leelynn Ferguson.
