He was predeceased by: his parents, Aaron Ison and Vivian Fields Ison; and his siblings, Harvey Ison, Wilma Jean Fields and Evedine Ison.
He is survived by: his wife Ann Shelton Ison of Waynesburg, KY; his children, Steven Lee Ison (Stephanie) of Pigeon Forge, TN and Melissa Richey (Chris) of Stanford, KY; his sisters, Geraldine Belcher of Eubank, KY and Ina Mae Newby of Somerset, KY; and his grandchildren, Taylor BreAnn Richey, Jacob Davin Ison, Toriana Paige Richey, Isaiah Lucas Ison, Isaac Andrew-Lee Ison, Maliyah Michelle Ison, Saydee Faith, Jacob Adington, Brian Shelton, Debbie Leach Baughman and Robert Lee Belcher. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends.
