She was predeceased by: her parents, William Walter and Effie Atkins Elliott; her husband Garland Hicks; her daughter Charlene Stringer; and her siblings, Ernest Elliott, Winford Elliott, Earl Elliott, Clifford Elliott, Carrie Atkins, Mazie Cassidy and Josephine Barker.
She is survived by: her children, Jim Hicks (Rachel) of Waynesburg and Angela Palmer of England; her granddaughters, Hannah Hicks Hinds (Austin Wayne) of Stanford and Shelby Hicks Dye (Bryce) of Waynesburg; her great grandchildren, Hunter Wayne Hinds, Owen Walker Hinds and Sadie Olivia Hinds; and her niece Maxine Elmore of Ohio. She is also survived by several extended family members and friends.
