He was predeceased by: his parents, James Richard and Gladys Bishop; his son David Eugene Bishop; and his siblings, George Bishop and Dorothy Hale.

He is survived by: his wife Theresa Brock Bishop; his daughter Belinda Atwood (Brent); his niece Serena Geddis; and his granddaughters, Christina, Savannah Atwood and Anna Grace Porter.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Hosparus.
