He was predeceased by: his siblings, Corrine Kemp, Pauline Rogers, Demple McFarland, William Hamlett, Hallie Trenton, Robert Lee and Lawrence Hamlett.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Hamlett; his children, James Russell Hamlett Jr. (Grace), Thomas Leland Hamlett and Teresa Ann O'Bryan; his sisters, Mary Louise Sneed and Norma Jean Parnell; his great grandchild Chelsae Rockwell (Corey); and his great great grandchild Liam James Rockwell. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren.
