He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Owen and Adelia Scott Owen; and his siblings, Mildred Daughtery, LaVerne Burns, Eva Culver, Ecel Ray Owen and Danna Hill Owen.

He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Dennis Owen. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
