He was predeceased by: his wife Phyllis "Jean" Popplewell; his parent Flona Popplewell; and his siblings, Delsie, Letha, Rose and Cova.

He is survived by: his daughter Jennifer Poole (Chuck); his grandchildren, Danielle Vinson (Jared), Luke and Emma Poole; and his great grandchildren, Jackson and Ava Vinson.
