He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Shirley and Willa Elizabeth Shirley; and his sisters, Martha Nicely, Helen Lewis, Ruth Thristler, Wanda Lane and Brenda McCrystal.
He is survived by: his wife Rita Stine Shirley; his sons, David Jr. and Kevin Sr. Shirley (Nicole); his siblings, Floyd Shirley and Fanny Jane Pinkston; his grandchildren, Kevin Matthew Jr. (Brooke), Sydney, Jackson Shirley and Angel Watson (Nick); and his great grandchildren, Aspen, Tinley and Xavier Watson.
Unfortunately due to the current pandemic, all services will be private.
