He was predeceased by: his father J. W. Herndon Jr.. He is survived by: his children, Daniel and Ashley Herndon; his mother Linda Smith (Jerry); and his siblings, Joseph Herndon, Donald Harned, Julie Huffman, Melissa Ramsey and Lisa Vires. He is also survived by five grandchildren.
